NorthWay Community Trust is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that works to expand economic opportunity, strengthen the social fabric and improve life circumstances for North Minneapolis residents.
NorthWay works to build bridges between social
service organizations, businesses, government, foundations
and additional funders. They connect these organizations so
that they are working together instead of separately, leveraging
their skills and resources in order to reduce poverty and
create wealth.
NorthWay Community Trust is committed to ensuring the health
and stability of the 13 neighborhoods of North Minneapolis
by supporting opportunities for residents to thrive in the
community.
NorthWay's five long-term strategies are:
1. Building connections and capacity
2. Building community wealth
3. Creating affordable housing
4. Addressing health disparities
5. Building knowledge
NorthWay Community Trust supports efforts of the University of Minnesota Partnership to provide services to benefit all Northside residents. NorthWay will continue to work with the Partnership to ensure community involvement as the Partnership moves forward to achieve its objective to build a healthy North Minneapolis.
