Hennepin County

Hennepin County's mission is to enhance the health, safety and quality of life of residents and communities in a respectful, efficient and fiscally responsible way.

The County, led by the Board of Commissioners, is strongly committed to a community-based approach to delivering health and human services. The University Northside Partnership (UNP) represents such an approach, and the County supports the UNP through their Northpoint Health and Wellness Center, through multiple other programs serving the Northside, and through their broader connection to the University - the Hennepin-University Partnership. The bottom line is to find ways to leverage the resources of both the County and the University to work side-by-side with the Northside community to build from the existing strength of the community and to develop greater opportunities for community residents.
